Nice clear illustrations,
This is a handy little reference. It’s about the size of a credit card, but twice as thick. Suitable for a wallet or pocket.
There are six cards, double-sided, and some two knots, for a total of 15 knots. The cards are fastened together, so there’s no chance you’ll lose one of them.
I’m just getting started learning knots, and I have tried a few of these. So far this has been a good help. This will be handy to have around. With practice, I’ll have a few of these committed to memory.

Valuable Resource for Learning Basic Knots,
Pro-Knot: Best Rope Knots by John Sherry is an excellent resource to learn to tie common knots in a small, convenient, and easy to use format. It comes with six double sided waterproof cards that are attached by a rivet to hold them together. On each card is the name of the knot, a brief description, and a diagram. The version that I have includes the following 15 knots:
1. Bowline
2. Tautline Hitch
3. Square Knot
4. Water Knot
5. Buntline Hitch
6. Rolling Hitch
7. Clove Hitch
8. Constrictor Knot
9. Sheet Bend
10. Doubled Sheetbend
11. Double Fisherman’s
12. Trucker’s Hitch
13. Figure Eight
14. Mooring Hitch
15. Bowline on a Bight
If you are new to knots and want to learn the basics then Pro-Knot is a good starting point. Carrying these cards along with some paracord allows you to practice anywhere to improve your knot skills. If you learn the majority of knots listed on these cards you will be well ahead of most people with your knowledge of knots. If you really get into knots there are tons of books and resources available to advance your skills even further. If you have difficulty understanding the diagram you can go to YouTube and usually find a video showing how to tie the knot. Also, the Pro-Knot website has video and instructions on how to tie most of these knots. Once you get the idea you can then use these cards as a reminder if needed.
If you go camping, backpacking, or hiking you should always have rope and a set of these cards with you during your adventures. They also make a great addition to any everyday carry (EDC) bag or bug out bag (BOB) that you may have for an emergency. Knowing which knot to use for a particular situation is a great asset to have in your tool kit. Having this knowledge can make your adventure easier and safer by using the correct knot.
I highly recommend Pro-Knot: Best Rope Knots as a valuable piece of gear to have in your kit.
