Shipping:
They got here very quickly, and I only chose standard. It took about 4 days. The packaging wasn’t great though, they were just in a pouch with no plastic over the individual sprays, and all of the bottles were dented, had scratches, and had messed up labels. Although this shouldn’t be an issue for performance, and is utilitarian, it is nice to have a nice presentation for your money. They were not that extreme, and were only small imperfections, but I am picky.
Size:
These are large, not your pocket size. That is generally not their intent though. Great for the duty belt, or a purse (though take it out while you walk obviously-it does no good when you have to dig through the purse that is being stolen). These are great for a car as well. If you want it in your pocket, by all means do so, but they will bulge.
Safety mechanism:
The safety is great for quick access and quick use in a stressful situation. It flips up. The thing is though, it can go off if something gets in the trigger. This feature is fine though in its intended use. The trigger is quickly accessible, and can be activated without fully flipping up the top. It will most likely take a lot of pressure though, and just the right angle for something to set it off in a purse or packet. It goes off with finger pressure when necessary. The harder you press, the more intense the spray, and the better the coverage on the attackers face.
Effectiveness:
It hurts. A lot. Officers must be sprayed. And it burns. For a long time.
With the amount in these, you can defend against multiple attackers. And with 4, there is no excuse to not having one handy when the time comes.
I can’t offer much on range. Only experience is with close range.
Other:
Made in the good ‘ol USA. It expires 9/12/2016, and I bought it in November 2012. Nice lifespan.
Make sure it is legal in your state. Although it ships to states that don’t allow OC spray (which is negligible if you are an officer and can carry it on duty) doesn’t mean you should tempt getting in trouble. Although you will most likely use it in a situation when you feel your life is at risk, and therefore an officer is less likely to care what method you used to defend yourself (at least you didn’t shoot the unarmed attacker trying to get your purse.) Remember though, if you go to court, a defense attorney can bring up the point that you used an illegal weapon. If you don’t break the law, an officer generally won’t search you either. Don’t bring this into an airport. Ever. And I wouldn’t recommend it be carried any secure locations where you are subject to search, in states that do not allow OC spray, or limit its potency.
I got a lucky break and this item was $23 for one day only, with free super saver shipping-so there is that. 4 for that price, in this size is a steal.
Overall:
I would recommend this. Nice American product that looks intimidating, and works as effectively as necessary.

These surpass any pepper spray that I have purchased over many years. Recommend these for everyone living in a high crime area or not. The last stage of protection below a gun. You can stop them witrhout killing them and wait for the cops to show up

These were stocking stuffers for the young ladies in my family (plus one for myself). My 15 year old sister was attacked by a 4-pack of dogs (3 pits) while out walking her 2 little dogs. I ordered this pack of pepper spray the same day. She carried hers on her the day after Christmas to walk her dogs. I keep mine in my purse. The size is better than a keychain one, which I would imagine wouldn’t hold enough to do much good with a pack of dogs to spray, or a relentless attacker. This size seemed better. My old can of CS was even bigger, but it doesn’t travel well because of its size. This one works
