Imagine the Christian “Rapture” event as a horror film and you have The Remaining, a 2014 Christian-horror movie. Combining elements of cinéma vérité, mainly the handheld camera, the film follows a group of 20-somethings after the events foretold in the Bible’s Book of Revelation unfold following a wedding reception. The movie is graphic in some of its imagery. As with many of these movies based on someone “documenting” the events with a video camera, the end of the film leaves many questions unresolved.

Back in January, I went on a climbing trip to Mexico. I had a great time climbing the amazing multi-pitch limestone walls out there, and enjoying the beautiful Mexican landscape. But I also met someone, and ultimately fell in love with this person, over the course of several months, writing e-mails and letters and postcards and talking over Skype. That person, Mandy, decided to come visit me in Whitehorse for two weeks in late March / early April. Wanting to impress her, and convince her that the Yukon is a fantastic, magical place, we jam-packed our days with winter…
Hello, in my mid-50s, seeking 1 acre of land to build off-grid – a house, a greenhouse, some pasture chicken. Spent my life traveling. Lived in Asia, Europe…Am now seeking a peaceful, low-key existence with only minimal contact with the world beyond my 1 acre. Not weird or anything, but I figure building a house, a greenhouse, and venturing into raising chicken and gardening would leave little time for socializing. So if you have 1 acre to sell where there is no CC&R’s or HOA and I can build as I wish- a geodesic dome or Cobhouse or just put an RV on it, would love to hear from you. The post Looking for 1 acre for Off-…
March 5, 2020 (Joseph Thomas – NEO) – US State Department-funded front “Radio Free Asia” (RFA) recently complained about plans to proceed with joint Chinese-Cambodian military exercises despite the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. According to the article the exercises will also include “the use of tanks, armoured personnel carriers, artillery, mortar and helicopter gun ships.” Cambodia has dismissed concerns over holding the exercises amid the outbreak noting the relatively small impact the virus’ spread has had on the nation. Additionally, it is unlikely China will not exercise extreme caution when selecting and screening military personnel sent to participate in the exercises later this year…
