Great sight for the money,
This backup sight and my AR’s A2 front sight cowitness perfectly with my Bushnell Holosight (same as Eotech – they make them for Bushnell). It sits very low and does not interfere with the view through the holosight. It does not extend past the T2 rail on my flattop, so there is plenty of room to operate the buttons on the back of the holosight without hanging it off the front of the rail. The flip-up operates very well and the windage adjustment works great. I can’t see spending $200 – $300 for a metal version unless your gun is going to see extreme abuse. Magpul really hit this one out of the park.
I did see someone mention on a forum that he had over-tightened the mounting screws and broken his MBUS, so do bear in mind that it’s made of polymer, not metal. I had no problem getting a secure mount without having to crank too hard on the mounting screws.

Great for the money,
I chose this magpul sight because it was made by magpul and because it was only $55 whereas a similar sight from troy costs about $200. I put it on my gun and it went on just fine and so far it works great. The only thing that concerns me is that when i go to flip down both peep sights, being plastic i feel as if it might snap because of how much pressure you have to apply but other than that this is a great sight and i really love the spring loaded flip up feature. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone thinking about buying it.

Great sight!,
Tore my A2 handle off my AR as soon as I got it so I could place some type of red dot sight on top. I also wanted a rear sight in case my red dot ever failed. That led me to the Magpul MBUS. I read lots of reviews, ended up on this product and glad I bought.
I took the MBUS out of the package, placed it on the rail and tightened it up. It lined up perfectly with the stock front sight without needing any adjusting. Great to have as a back up sight if my red dot fails, instantly flips up with the click of a button and stays folded down until its needed. Love this and many Magpul products, those guys know what is practical and in turn what people like myself want/need. Highly recommend. End of line..
