Turkish Delight

I was recently given the chance to test fire a SARB6P. I was at my favorite gun shop and I was told basically to take this gun home and a box of bangs and report back. I was in the right place at the right time and I sure like when that happens. The SARB6P is a compact single-action/double 9mm from SAR (Sarsilmaz) Arms out of Istanbul, Turkey. SAR Arms has been around since 1880. This was one of several of the Rockledge Florida-based importer EAA ( https://eaacorp.com ) guns in the display case at my shop. The European American Armory corporation also imports Tanfoglio. The “sarby” that I test …

Quote of the Day – Empathy

“What kind of empathetic people exploit the occasion of murdered children and a distraught public as the proper time to ask for support of their agenda?”- Howard NemerovHoward asks a great question here at the end of his excellent piece. The answer? People who have no empathy for those murdered. Anti-gun politicians like Feinstein, Cuomo and their ilk do not care one bit about those killed. They only care about two things. 1. Doing what is politically expedient so that they can continue to hold power. 2. Disarming their constituents.

Why I’m Not a Sheep

The call-in topic on the Squirrel Report from last night was “Why I am not a sheep.”Breda’s answer was excellent, which isn’t the least bit surprising. She was on a roll. You can listen to her here.I wanted to call-in, but didn’t get a chance since I was at my brother’s celebrating his birthday and then I stayed over and played Madden on XBox 360 and air hockey with the kids.I realize that I’m going to end up kind of piggybacking on what she said with this post, but so be it.I am not a sheep because I live in the real world. I am aware. Sheep …

Self Defense Pepper Spray – Personal Security Products and Safety Tips – Pepper spray and self defense product blog by Guardian Self Defense and Security Products.click image for more details Recently I had a long conversation with Mike our mail carrier. He is a very personable guy and we have talked about many things of common interest. Yesterday the topic was his pepper spray. As you may know all USPS letter carriers are issued pepper sprays by the post office as their first line of defense against dog attacks. I asked to see his spray for one specific reason-to see if it was outdated. And sure enough it was two years out of date. The spray is okay but …

The Government Will Never End the Fed but the Fed is Destined to Die Anyway

Although the Republican controlled House of Representatives recently passed Audit the Fed, HR 459, Audit the Fed will never pass nor will the Fed ever be abolished legislatively. Republicans really do support the Federal Reserve because it funds their wars and empire. Furthermore, all the Republican YEA’s to Audit the Fed were nothing more than an act of political expediency because Republicans in Congress absolutely do understand that Audit the Fed stands no chance of ever getting out of the Senate where it only has 30 co-sponsors and could never survive a presidential veto. The Federal Reserve is the mother’s milk of empire, tyranny and statism. Big government and central banks exist for no purpose except…

Annoying IEA Report

I’m going to try to give y’all some tools to refute that annoying IEA report that just came out — the one that says the US will be the “new Saudi Arabia” and a net exporter of energy. I doubt this community has any new people reading it, and if you’ve been here for a while, you know this report is bullshit, but you need to know why because all these smug, optimistic cornucopians are going to be bringing the article to your attention in hopes of defeating everything you’ve ever told them about energy production.I’m going to skip the IEA report itself and go straight …

A Vision of The End

Gaze with me into the mirrors of your Multiversal mind, and see one possible future coming into view…This is not the world your mythmakers promised you — no Disneyland of techno-prosperity and consumer capitalism for all. Do you see the chaos approaching in the twilight of this, the darkest of all ages? The chaos is descending fastest across the lands of God-drunk Islam. Thirsty Yemen is falling to the soldiers of martyred bin Laden; modernity is in on the run in flood-ravaged Pakistan; hungry Egypt marches to the tune …

Doom and the Dark Side of Cosmic Fecundity

The Cosmic Dance of Shiva, supreme Hindu god of destruction and creationLike many in the blogosphere, I have expended considerable mental energy in recent years studying and fretting over the various “doomer” scenarios that threaten humanity in the 21st century. There was a time when I found the apparent facts utterly depressing and was convinced that there was no light at the end of the tunnel for mankind – that the future offered nothing but total collapse and devolution. But some time during the past six months or so, and particularly with my recent turn to the “dark side”, I have come to view the doomer issues quite differently. Since making the Dark …
