Here’s a deal on a great little flashlight. Amazon has these 300 lumen LED flashlights at around $5 with free shipping. A have a few of them and they’ve worked great for me. Do they work as well as a Surefire? Absolutely not, but for the price and the amount of light they put out they’ve a smoking deal. They also use AA batteries so you won’t be breaking the bank powering them. Note: The price in the Amazon listing fluctuates so it may be more or less than $5. Source: Amazon

RIP John Noveske
Unfortunately it looks like the firearms world is off to a rough start in 2013, John Noveske of Noveske Rifleworks based out of Oregon has passed away. He was killed in a car accident on Friday, January 4th. According to Flashalert.net: Sergeant Tyler Lee, on January 4, 2013 at approximately 9:13 p.m., a 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser driven by JOHN NOVESKE, age 36, from Grants Pass, was westbound on Highway 260 near El Camino Way. Gun Digest Great Guns 2013 Calendar
December 21, 2012 has past, and we’re still here. So I guess you’ll have to spring for a 2013 calendar after all. Here’s one I suggest, the Gun Digest Great Guns 2013 Calendar for $13. There’s also the Shotgun News 2013 Calendar at under $12. Or for a few bucks more the Exotic Weapons 2013 Gun Calendar looks pretty sweet too.
New Magpul 10 and 20 Round PMAGs
Magpul recently announced their new Gen 3 10 round and 20 round PMAG. The 20 rounder is shipping now while the 10 rounder will be available in February of 2013 both with an MSRP of $13.95. The 20 rounder will be handy for hunters and precision shooters who may find it difficult to shoot with standard capacity magazines while prone or on a bench. 10 rounders obviously will be very popular for those living in states that ban any mags that hold more than 10 rounds. Check them out at Magpul.com. Hopefully by the time these hit the shelves some of the AR-15 and magazine buying spree dies down, it’s pretty impossible to find PMAGs anywhere, and some retailers are even price gouging the ones they have in stock *cough*…
