Used this little guy on the Hwy 35 to Cascade Locks section of the PCT. We did the hike in mid June and ran into all sorts of nasty weather. The first night we camped along the Zigzag River in what can only really be called a wintery mix. Snow/hail/rain etc. The tent held up perfectly. I was warm and dry inside. The next evening, in just rain it performed great, even after being put away wet. The only draw back to this tent is it is a bit of a pain in the bum to get in and out of. I am 5’10” and it required some flexibility/balance to enter and exit the tent without getting everything muddy. I figured out the technique later, but it is certainly designed for one person and your bag outside. Compared to other tents that serve a similar purpose, this one is high on the value end.

Great tent. Especially for the price. Lightweight yet roomy enough for one person to sleep comfortably in any position. The large vestibule is an essential feature on this tent. It allows me to store my large 65 Liter pack in the vestibule while i’m sleeping as well as any extra gear I need to store. It has three mesh stash pockets inside the tent, one is suspended above the head area and removable as a gear loft. Another essential feature in this tent is the mesh walls. The two side walls and the back wall are mesh, as well as the doorway. Which allows for ventilation during those hot summer days (very important.) But it’s not 100{660353129f8d892044c993645a1c75194301fec6786a7f617c15adde0b0011e9} mesh walls so it does provide good wind coverage and insulation for winter or cold weather as well. The rain fly is great, very durable and quality sealed. It buckles to each corner and has adjustable tension straps for quick setup, removal and adjustment of the rain fly. The zippper is good, smooth and quiet. The poles are made of sturdy aluminum with a nice color to them, and the tent is very fast and easy to set up and take down. The only thing I would say I would change about this tent is the floor being pretty thin material. It would be nice if the floor was coated a little thicker or made of more durable material. But I can see how it makes the tent lighter. There is also a “Floor Saver” footprint for this tent, for about $20-$30, which is just a gimick in my opinion. You can just go to the local fabric store and buy coated ripstop nylon by the yard and make your own footprint for a more reasonable price. All in all, this is a great tent for the money, good design and plenty of room for one person to sleep comfortably in and have all of their gear safely stored and protected within the unit. I also like the color scheme of this model.
The total weight of this tent, rainfly, poles, guy lines and 5 stakes is 3.75 lb. Which makes it nice and lightweight for backpacking.

Just took it out for the first time last night. I was in the Marines and have dealt with their one man tents and 2 man’s many of times. This tent surpassed them by far. I was able to set it up in under 5 minutes without looking at instructions and same to take it down and get it back in the bag. The rain fly doesn’t touch the tent anywhere so you don’t worry about it soaking through and setting on the tent. Ventilation is great. No condensation build up and let’s air stir within the tent.for size reference I am about 220 and 5’10”. I was able to stretch my arms and legs and fit width wise touch a little when I shifted around but not to much. Plenty of room to store a pack and fishing gear in the vestibule. Also even had room inside for a small go bag. I would recommend this product to anyone who is in the market for reliable one man tents
