I purchased this holster for myself to use with a Beretta PX4. I bought this and a few other <$20 holsters as a goof mostly just to try out different types and was pleasantly surprised with just how nice this one turned out to be.

I want to start out by saying that the first picture of the item is inaccurate. There isn’t a belt included (the other pictures don’t have the belt).

The holster is VERY adjustable. I’m a big guy (6’6″ 245, 46-48 inch chest) and it has a lot of room left in all the straps. The only issue I had here is that since I’m so tall the belt straps barely reach my belt when the top is properly cinched down. It took about 30 minutes of pretty constant adjustments to get it to fit just right, but this is the first time in about 3 years I’ve even put on a shoulder holster so your mileage may vary.

There is a button snap that holds the pistol in place. It has two female parts of the button (not sure the proper jargon here) and one male part so you can use either depending on the size of your pistol. On top of the button is a small velcro strap that acts as a secondary securing method. Within a few minutes of practice I was able to develop a quick flip motion with my firing hand to get the gun out very quickly.

For people that don’t like reading a wall of text:

    Pros:
    Inexpensive.
Has room for 3 additional magazines (thats 69 rounds on me with my PX4, pretty decent).
    Highly adjustable.
Pistol stays put when in the holster, even when running.
    Looks professional.

    Cons:
Doesn’t come with a way to secure the loose straps (had to use tape after tightening them down.)
    Belt straps a bit short.
Came designed for a lefty (only took a minute to switch it over).

Overall I would buy this again for myself or a friend.

Do yourself a favor and buy a quality product. It’s o.k. if your packing around a toy or a light-weight airsoft gun…it’s adjustable in all the right places. However if you’re like me and have a concealed carry licence and have a full sized firearm that needs to be held in place, save up and get something better. After all it could literally be a matter of life and death. Here’s what happened…when I got it I liked what I saw. The holster itself is perfectly adjustable to most any size pistol. That part I liked a lot. I got the straps adjusted to my shoulders just right. There is one feature I didn’t like…there’s a velcro peice that goes over the snap on the strap that hold the pistol into the holster. That would definitely hinder your access in an emergency situation. It was just in the way so I removed it (oops! I modified it so I can’t return it). It also needs padding over the straps that go accross the top of your shoulders. Everything seemed adjusted correctly so I wore it when I went out to walk the dog after dark. I got to the corner and turned to walk down the next block and didn’t make it half way to the next street over when the adjustable slide buckle that goes accross the top of the shoulders (the part that needs some padding) just let loose with no warning. I immediately pushed in with my elbow to hold the loose gun and holster in place beneathe my winter coat. The more I walked, the more difficult it got to keep it from slipping out of place. Lucky for me, my route took me past a park that was deserted in the dark wintery night where I could stop and unzip my coat in order to refasten the strap through the slide style buckle. It was dark enough that there was little chance that anyone who might have passed by would have spotted the gun, but what if this had happened during the daylight hours and in a more public place? My nicely concealed pistol would have drawn unwanted attention. So now I’m looking for a good leather shoulder holster that won’t break the bank.

    ****Update****

I have made some mods to this holster and have made good use of it since I wrote the original review. After that experience I had, I took a closer look and found an easy way to loop the strap back through the buckle and prevent slippage. Once I did that it has worked pefect for me. I originally gave this holster a 2-star review and have now changed it to 4-star. Why not 5? The velcro piece that goes accross the thumb break. It really could hinder a smooth draw that could save someones life. It’s a great product, but may need some tweeking to meet individual needs. Before I wouldn’t have recommended it, now after several months of use I’ve changed my mind. I just needed to find the right way for me to use it for my own needs. I can now say that YES I do recommend this holster because of all the good points I mentioned above.
