I used this to treat an LL Bean goretex jacket that had lost it’s water repellency. Following the instructions on the bottle were simple. After one treatment, my old goretex was back to keeping me dry in the rain. So far, the one washing has kept my jacket water repellent for 12 months of New England wear. I would buy this product again, no question.

I’m using this to wash a Helly-Hansen waterproof Gore-Tex rain suit after every half-dozen wearings. (Between times I just hose the mud off.) After a few trips through the washer, the water-resistance of the clothes seems undiminished, and they are as clean as new. Since the Granger product contains a wax-like waterproofer as well as a very mild detergent, I was worried that it might leave some kind of residue in the washing machine that would affect the next load of regular wash, but it doesn’t seem to.

I have used Grangers products for many years, as they do what they say they will do. Very simple to use and very effective. I used this product to reproof a pair of pretty pricey but a bit aged) over trousers. Really easy to do just popped it in the washer, no problem. I have tested them in the rain, and they are not quite as good as new, but at over $150 to replace them, it was worthwhile giving this a try.
