When you need to pull some bullets, for whatever reason, an impact-style tool is the easiest method. Just one stern “whack” and the bullet is separated from the brass. It is as easy as that. Frankford kinetic bullet puller- Quinetics revisited,
This type of puller has been around for over 25 years. It was originally the old green Quinetics puller, which at the time it came out, was under patent. It’s now off patent and is being produced under several names. I believe RCBS purchased Quinetics. I compared both the blue Frankford and the green RCBS side by side and they are identical in every way (same mold even!) except for the color. This is a time-proven design. Excellent in every way and elegant in it’s simplicity. The Frankford comes with 3 collets, but you really only need the one 98{660353129f8d892044c993645a1c75194301fec6786a7f617c15adde0b0011e9} of the time. I bought this to disassemble a lot of 7mm Mag cartridges that would not chamber (belted Mags are tricky to reload…) 2 or 3 whacks and the bullet and powder are sitting inside the puller chamber. Who could ask for more? I highly recommend this item as an essential tool for the reloader.

Cheap, effective and easy to use. Pulled several test bullets a couple of accidental loads with no primer. Worked great everytime. Yes it takes a few bullet ‘pulls’ to develop the proper technique but after that 3 whacks on an average crimp will release the bullet. NO they don’t recommend use on factory ammo. So of course I did. Wanted to compare with my own tight crimp. If the bullet is realy crimped in there prepare your patience. I think it took.about 30 solid taps. Could also be my form was the problem. However, this type heavy crimp pull is not what the tool is designed for. Tested with 45 ACP. I imagine the reviews where people couldn’t figure this out took a second look and racked the ‘duh’ factor. I didn’t have an issue. Simple instructions on a simple tool. If you cant figure out this tool by the instructions you might want to re-think reloading your own ammo all together.

This bullet puller works very well. It even works when the bullet was crimped improperly, saving the cartridge casing. I don’t think the instructions are very clear, so some people might have trouble understanding how to use it effectively. Once I tried it a couple of times, I determined the proper way to use it. There are more expensive model bullet pullers available, but I don’t think they would work any better.
